Their Story
Katie and Huynh are the ULTIMATE high school sweetheart. After a long hike, he proposed to her at the top of Heart Mountain on an elevation gain of 2,450 ft m. Just like its name, the mountain has a heart shaped layer of limestone near the top. This heart shaped layer can also be viewed from the bottom of the mountain. Can their love story get any better?!? YES!
The Frozen Lake
To celebrate their 10 year anniversary and engagement, we went on an adventurous photoshoot in Banff National Park where we were surrounded by the magnificent Canadian Rocky Mountains. The winter day was cold, but it was perfect. First, we visited Lake Minnewanka where we could feel the cold wind blowing through our hair and hear the water splashing. Then, we visited Two Jack Lake where we could see our reflections on the frozen lake and at the same time, we could also see the fish swimming beneath our feet.
Two lakes side by side. One on the sunny side – you can hear the water splashing. The other one, on the shady side – where the shadows of the mountains blocked all the warmth from the sun which resulting the beautiful reflective frozen lake. We couldn’t have ask for a better engagement photoshoot day!
